A STRONG FOUNDATION IS BUILT IN STONE

A LEGACY IS BUILT ON TRUST.

What they say is true; if you make it in New York, you can make it anywhere! Our humble beginnings took place in New York City back in 1904 with Mr. Michael Cohen. Our roots are deeply ingrained in the world of domestic natural stone, limestone, marble, and granite. They were the local reps for Indiana Limestone, and at the time, you could only cut domestic stone, and install what you cut. The deep passion for the world of stone was a family affair, with Mr. Michael Cohen teaching his sons all he knew and taking them across the country to all the quarries and projects he did.

Mr. Michael Cohen continued to grow his business and supplied the very stone you walk on today in Grand Central Terminal. The Cohen brothers grew up breathing and speaking about stone every day, and both grew to have a deep respect and passion for the business. Mr. Malcolm Cohen took the business to the next level and continued to supply noteworthy projects and establish deep relationships within the industry. He was the recipient of many awards, most predominately the Migliore Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 from the Marble Institute of America, now known as The Natural Stone Institute. All who knew Mr. Malcolm Cohen held great respect for him and the company. His footprint in the industry is far-reaching in the stone world, with a profound impact on supply, fabrication, and installation. Mr. Cohen also continued to grow his business and supplied the very stone you see today cladding the façade of the Empire State Building.4

A STRONG FOUNDATION IS BUILT IN STONE

The very fabric of New York is interwoven within the story of Miller Druck and will continue to do so, as the fourth generation is also in the business today. Ms. Barbara Cohen has transformed Miller Druck into the fabrication and installation experts that so many have come to trust and request on their projects. As it is frequently said, history does not always repeat itself, but it often rhymes… From Mr. Michael Cohen back in 1909, supplying the stone in Grand Central Terminal, to Ms. Barbara Cohen supplying, and installing the same type of stone 100 years later at Moynihan Train Hall, it is a true salute to the family legacy that is still around today.

If you have a story you would like to share with us about your experience with Miller Druck over the years, we would love to hear from you. Miller Druck is proud to be here all these years later, and we look forward to a continuous exciting future, with many new endeavors and projects ahead.
