OCULUS transportation hub
Designed by Santiago Calatrava and completed in 2016, the Oculus stands as one of New York City’s most striking architectural landmarks — a symbol of rebirth and resilience at Ground Zero. Miller Druck Specialty Contracting executed the stone fabrication and installation throughout the interior concourses, circulation areas, and vertical cores, including flooring, wall cladding, and stair elements. The project features luminous Italian white marbles — Bianco Lasa and Bianco Carrara — precisely fabricated and installed to complement Calatrava’s sculptural geometry. Working under complex site conditions, Miller Druck delivered a pristine, light-filled environment where stone, steel, and light converge — a modern masterpiece of craftsmanship and engineering.
